Music Ministry

What We Do:

The Music Ministry consists of choir directors, choir members, cantors, song leaders, and various instrumentalists. Here at Holy Family Church, we offer a variety of choirs to meet your interest and talents.

Children’s Choir

• Sings on select 9:00 am Sunday Holy Mass
• Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm in the CCE Office

Contemporary Choir

• Vocals and instruments
• Uses the RitualSong and Gather Hymnals along with other tunes
• Sings at 9:00 am Sunday Holy Mass
• Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the church

Spanish Choir

• Sings at 12:30 pm Sunday Holy Mass
• Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the church and on Sundays from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in the CCE Office

Youth Praise Band

• Instruments: violin, guitar, bass guitar, drum
• Consists of high school and college students, and anyone young at heart
• Sings at 5:30 pm Sunday Holy Mass
• Rehearsals are on Sundays from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the church

Gospel Choir

• Sings at 10:45 am Sunday Holy Mass on alternate Sundays (2nd and 4th of the month)
• Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7:45 pm – 8:30 pm in the church

Holy Family Choir

• Sings at 10:45 am Sunday Holy Mass on alternate Sundays (1st and 3rd of the month)
• Rehearsals are on Mondays from 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm in the church

Cantors

• Individuals who feel called by God to lead the community in song
• Primarily for the 9:00 am or 10:45 am Sunday Holy Mass

Instrumentalists

• Individuals who play specific musical instruments and who would like to praise God through their music
• Piano, drums, brass, string, or woodwind instruments

Time & Training Required:

• Must be able to demonstrate musical talent
• Must commit to 1 to 1.5 hours of weekly practice as a group
• Instrumentalists are required to practice on their own
