Catholic Union of Texas the KJT

Who We Are:

This family fraternal group seeks to provide those of Czech-American ancestry and other families with a greater sense of identity and community within the parish.

Our motto: True fraternal love and harmony in action, life, and loyalty to the Catholic Church via its cultural and religious legacy established by the Apostles to the Slavs, Saints Cyril and Methodius

What We Do:

The home office of the state organization offers fraternal insurance, annuities, IRA’s, scholarships, youth and teen camps, photo contests, and a family fun day for its members. The local parish society may engage in any activity that provides both spiritual or financial benefits to its members as well as its parish. The home office encourages activities in both of the aforementioned areas to strengthen ties with the parish. Additionally, it offers matching grants to local societies to encourage fundraising for the charitable and religious needs of the parish.

Time & Training:

  • Meeting are held on the 4th Thursday of the month (except for November and December) at 1:30 pm in Room #2
  • A Saint Nicholas (Svatý Mikuláš) Youth Social/Meeting is held on the 1st Saturday of December
  • Annual meetings of the local societies’ officers of the region are held with the officers from the home office in La Grange, Texas, to explore mutual issues related to membership and related benefits, obligations, etc.
